If you already own a tractor, PTO splitters make a lot of sense- you already own the hydraulics.

This splitter makes a lot of sense for your back, too. Instead of having to lift logs onto the beam, just flip the beam into the upright position. Then you roll the log into place, and let the splitter do the rest of the work.

All the controls are right on the splitter, so you don't have to keep jumping into the driver's seat. This unit makes it easy to turn those trees you had to clear from the North Forty into cash.

Love The Tractor Log Splitter

Love the log splitter, I run it off my 3320 John Deere tractor. I did not receive any paperwork with it like some type of owners manual which is no big deal it's pretty simple.

The only minor complaint would be when I called and left a message with PED people they never returned my call. Other wise highly recommend it.

Does The Job ...

I would have rated this splitter higher if it came with a user manual - with pictures.

I had some initial problems connecting the hoses. This was my problem and after a call and exchange of e-mails with the sales/tech rep at Ramsplitter, everything was OK. They could have avoided this minor glitch with a better manual.

That being said, it has so far exceeded my expectations. I was concerned about some of the large logs I had to split (24" long by 16" to 18" diameter Beech).
