Most electric log splitters are smallish, with 3 to 5 tons of splitting strength. These units from Ramsplitter are a whole different ball game.

A quiet, powerful electric motor allows you to split wood indoors, without the danger of carbon monoxide fumes. This not only helps you stay warm while you work, it allows you to split closer to where you'll be storing the wood.

The electric motor is powerful, and starts with just the flip of a switch (no more pulling and cussing a gas engine!) A 20 Amp circuit is recommended, since this unit will pull 18 amps.

This 16 ton splitter will work just as hard as a 6 HP gasoline powered unit; but won't scare the livestock or the neighbors while you're working.
